Building on the success of their FA-1, Alco lengthened the body of the FA-2 model to provide space for an optional steam generator. This made the new model suitable for both freight and passenger service. Capitalizing on that, we’ve taken a few liberties in this release and added a few “what if” passenger and freight versions in some of our favorite paint schemes. Of course, you’ll find prototypical paint schemes as well including Erie Lackawanna and Louisville and Nashville units complete with Hancock air whistles. If you’re looking for something a little more whimsical, check out the Halloween and postwar-inspired USMC units as well.
